Healthcare often runs a decade behind the rest of the world in its operations, and with respect to open source technologies the healthcare business is no different. Already a complex legal environment we will look at the nexus of how open source technologies are finding traction in healthcare, how federal legislative efforts have both helped and hindered and where road blocks continue to exist.
