Description
Some designers are building their platform in an open manner allowing users to build devices that add to the value of the system, building things like audio effects and sequencers. The issue becomes how much access do you provide to the underlying code of the platform and how do you go about protecting rights.
Also, there seems to be a difference between open source programming and user created content within a game. This is a distinction between building an avatar of a building within a game verses programing new levels or experiences for an existing game.
